Catriona returns to university

BBC Scotland newsreader Catriona Shearer visited Edinburgh Napier University to promote poetry to students.

The broadcaster handed out free copies of the Carry A Poem book, which is part of a city-wide campaign by Edinburgh Unesco City of Literature Trust and the Scottish Poetry Library to encourage more people to read poetry.

The book reveals the favourite poems of an array of Scots and encourages readers to carry poems they love with them.

Ms Shearer, who studied at Edinburgh Napier, nominated Robert Burns' John Anderson, My Jo as her favourite verse.
