Arrest warrant for Celtic star

A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of Celtic star Morten Rasmussen on a speeding charge.

The Danish striker had been due to appear at Glasgow District Court yesterday and when he failed to turn up, JP Louisa Ross agreed to issue a warrant.

She was told by depute fiscal Marie-Claire Anderson: "The accused does not reside at the address we have and his present whereabouts are unknown."

Rasmussen is charged with driving at 43mph in a 30mph area in Glasgow's London Road in his Audi on 15 April.

He was signed by the former Celtic manager Tony Mowbray in January for 1.8 million.
