Blizzard dumps 1ft of snow across US

A POWERFUL blizzard roared across the central United States yesterday, bringing dumping more than a foot of snow on areas still reeling from last week's major storm.

Storm warnings were issued for an area from northern Louisiana to Georgia, which was hit by a blizzard last month.
