Body found in van is identified

POLICE have identified the body of a hillwalker found in a parked van at the side of the A93 in Perthshire on Monday as that of Michael Coffield, 28.

It is thought Mr Coffield, of Paisley, had been walking before he returned to the van in the Spittal of Glenshee area. It is not believed that cold weather contributed to his death, and police are not treating it as suspicious.

A spokesman for Tayside Police said: "While there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, inquiries are continuing and a report will be submitted to the procurator-fiscal."
