East Lothian opens doors on treasures
The annual event aims to showcase the county’s “diverse cultural, architectural and historical heritage” and is being held in partnership with the Scottish Civic Trust as part of European Heritage Days.
Among the venues taking part are Amisfield Walled Garden in Haddington, Chalmers Memorial Church in Port Seton, East Linton Community Hall, Glenkinchie Distillery, Haddington Town House, Musselburgh Old Town Hall and Tolbooth, the National Museum of Flight, Pinkie House (Loretto School, Musselburgh), St Mary’s Church in Haddington and The Scottish Flag Heritage Centre in Athelstaneford.

Hide AdAt Haddington Town House, visitors will be given a rare chance to play the Bösendorfer concert-grand piano, which has been played and praised by international soloists such as Valerie Tryon, John Lill and most recently, Nikolai Demidenko.
