THE Palestinian president has accepted a French invitation to come to Paris as part of an effort to relaunch Middle East peace talks.

French foreign minister Alain Juppe is inviting Israeli and Palestinian leaders to Paris this month. The talks collapsed in late 2008.

Nabil Abu Rdeneh, an adviser to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, said yesterday that the Palestinians were prepared to go to Paris.
