Microlight crash inquiry

AN INVESTIGATION has been launched into a microlight crash in which a man was killed when it came down in a field near a Clackmannanshire village.

The small aircraft ditched close to farm buildings close to the village of Kennet on Thursday.

An Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) spokeswoman said: “The AAIB is investigating how this accident happened. Each investigation is different and we cannot say at this stage when it will conclude.”

A Central Scotland Police spokesman said that they were not at a stage to name the pilot who was killed.
