Two hurt in road crashes

A MAN and a woman have been taken to hospital following two separate road accidents.

The first took place on the A7, two miles south of Heriot in Midlothian, just before 5pm yesterday. A car flipped on to its side in the accident and the male driver was cut out by firefighters.

Paramedics feared his injuries were serious and he was rushed to ERI, but the damage was later found to be minimal.
