JAY Beatty, the Celtic superfan who captured the hearts of football fans when he won the January Goal of the Month competition last season, has enjoyed a star-studded day at Parkhead.

Jay, who lives in Co Armagh in Northern Ireland, was at the Celtic game to see the Hoops survive an early scare - with Dedryck Boyata putting through his own net - and go on to record a 3-1 win, with Leigh Griffiths, Tom Rogic and Charlie Mulgrew getting on the scoresheet.

Jay - the official mascot of the Lurgan Glasgow Celtic Supporters Club - has previously given team talks to the Celtic squad, met Hoops legend Frank McAvennie, and enjoyed a VIP day out at New Douglas Park to watch Celtic take on Hamilton.
