Vale punish Wanderers for scoring first

The South of Scotland League side grabbed the lead four minutes into the game when Gary Redpath threaded a ball through for Paul McClymont to run on to and slot home.

Unfortunately for Saints, that was as good as it got as they found themselves pinned back for the remainder of the match.

Within two minutes Vale had drawn level as Scott Moffat glanced in a Jamie Lauder cross.

And on the half-hour mark another Lauder ball into the penalty area was forced home by John Hall to put them ahead.

Ten minutes into the second half a great strike from 20 yards by Kerr Dodds gave visiting goalkeeper Shaun Hutchison no chance and Dodds struck again in the 70th minute when his shot deflected off defender Adam Johnstone to wrong foot Hutchison.
